The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) reaffirmed its friendship and commitment towards the Kukis under the banner of Kuki tribal Union (KTU) that began during the period Naga National Council (NNC). And in fulfillment of its solidarity towards KTU, its General Secretary, Th. Muivah made the following declaration:
1. The post of President, Kuki Tribal Union (KTU), to be equivalent to that of Steering Committee member, NSCN.
2. The post of Vice-President, KTU to be equivalent to that of Dy. Kilonser, NSCN.
This declaration was announced by Lt. Gen. (Ret) V.S. Atem VC, Convener Steering Committee in an amalgamation program of KTU and Kuki Affairs at the office building of KTU, Hebron. The other NSCN senior members who graced the program were Mr. Zarsie Nyuthe, Executive Member, Steering Committee; Capt.(Ret) W. Shimray, Steering Member; Lt. Gen.(Ret) H.S. Ramsan VC, Keya Kilonser; Dr. N. Sonba, Kilonser of Health; Lt. Gen. Ng. Markson VC, Longvibu Naga Army; Mr. A.W. Varch Khamrang, Deputy Speaker Tatar Hoho; Ngasathing. Shimray, Dy. Kilo Kilonser; Mr. S. Hangsing, Dy. Kilonser; Mr. Haokhushe, Tatar; Rev. Seksim Kasar, Director for Christ Ministry; Col. Elijah, CO. STF Bn. Etc. The meeting was concluded with a word of thanks from Mr. L.H. Paohao, President KTU.
