Public interaction on “Th. Muivah’s journey” held

The four-hour-long public talk on “Th. Muivah’s journey of Peace and truth” in Ukhrul town hall was held today, June 5, with a massive participation from the people in a jam-packed hall, which showed the “co-equal postulates” to spell the visit of Th. Muivah to his ancestral homeland as a “quite right” and that the Naga people supports it. Public leaders, intellectuals, spiritual and spiritual leaders who spoke during the function poured out their opinions on Muivah’s visit to his native place and declared his visit as “quite right” and ‘bold peoples’ democratic step’.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramthing Hungyo, Convenor of TCC strongly condemned the Chief Minister, O. Ibobi Singh’s Childish act in his play-game hypnotizing the people. He further negated the “quick-fix” foxy views and ideas of Ibobi using the ADC election strategy to snatch the lion-shares or life-dependent resources from the Hill tribals. The United Naga Council (UNC) General Secretary emphasized the rights of the Nagas suppressed by the Meiteis in the past decades subjected the Nagas under the distress of immeasurable subjugations enjoying democratic rights of the Nagas. He deliberated the cause and situation at this juncture as the “accepted time” to be in a right track, now or never. He also recalled the ignored hues and cries, of the Nagas in the hands of the Meiteis. Milan, speaker, UNC Called upon the Nagas to join hands to fight for the Nagas cause. He also urged the people not to trust the political gimmicks that say Th. Muivah’s free entry by the representative of the Government of India.
The Tangkhul Shanao Long, TSL President Silla J. Konghay stressed the importance of women’s role in the issue. AS. Wungnaoshang , President TKS highlighted the roles of youth and said that “Youth without a vision” is dead.
Religious leader Aping Khamrang, Pastor, UBC summarily shared and delivered on the topic “power of prayer”. He lamented that the Naga National Movement does not lie in physical war so he urged the people to pray more. The religious leader also stated that he will continue to pray for the Naga leaders
