RISING TIDE OF CHALLENGES
Following the Emergency National Assembly where the historic decision was taken to stand by the National Principle, a new wave of nationalism, determination and awakening had dawn. It is all about upholding the truth and natural rights of the Nagas as given by God.
History is clear before us how many times the Naga people were taken for a ride in the name of Naga solution by craftily bringing the 9 Points Agreement, the 16 Points Agreement and the Shillong Accord. The state of political turmoil as seen today is because of the failure of these deceitful agreements. These agreements were craftily drafted bereft of respect for the historical and political rights of the Nagas. Should the Nagas accept another agreement at the cost of Framework Agreement wherein lies the sovereign identity of the Naga nation?
Naturally, what has hurt the Nagas the most is the betraying character of the past returning to undo everything which was achieved during the 25 years of Indo-Naga political talk. NSCN was thus, confronted with the situation that has turned haughty, apathetic and cold-hearted. But not to be unnerved by such unpleasant turn of Indo-Naga talks, we stay upbeat to turn the situation around by calling for Emergency National Assembly to meet the challenges thrown upon NSCN. It was a very tough decision but we feel we made the right one to protect the unique history and national principle at any cost.
