Imphal, Nov 10: The Southern Senapati Naga Villages Council, Manipur has claimed Thursday that a collective group of Kuki people from Kangpokpi area have forcibly encroached on a Naga village called Chawangkining. situated along the IT Road under Kangpokpi sub-division, Senapati district on Thursday. The chief of the village along with the villagers tried to prevent them but the Kuki group did not heed to their voice but they brought materials to construct houses there without any permission from the land owners, the Naga village council alleged.
One of the leaders of the group told them that the Sadar Hills District Demand Committee (SHDDC) instructed them to intrude the village and settle down there when Chawankining villagers asked them about their plan.
It is unfortunate to learn that the SHDDC has invited new clashes between the Kukis and Nagas, the council said warning the Kuki group to withdraw from Chawakining village or face consequences. Further drawing the attention of the government of Manipur, the Naga villagers urged the former to take up necessary action to prevent unwanted incidents among the hill people.

Why do the Southern Senapati Naga Village Council need lie? Why does it have to be “lies lies and fall for your lies” and “expects others to fall for it as well every time”!? For Christ sake, don’t you realise, that people who are not aware really believes you? stop it. Its so cliche and irritating! Really!! Lies after lies, claims after claims. a future based on lies? no wonder it is spiralling down now!
The village in question, Chawangkining, where it stand today, was established just some 3/4?(less than 10) years back. The truth is there was a Kuki village called HARUP, some feets from where the said village stand now., which, (Harup) was deserted when the NSCN(IM) initiate their full-scale ethnic cleansing campaign in the 90s. The terrorist had even ambush civilian passenger truck killing and injuring the innocent villagers including women & children and they’d even burned the truck right there where the village Chawangkining is today(somewhere 1993-’95).
Now the real question is, itsthe other way round, why is Chawangkining encroaching on the land of Harup village?
The original owner of that land i.e. the chief of Harup village and the villagers wants return to their home after the tide had died, period. Consequently, no lies and no politics please; for the sake of the poor villagers who really would have been home-sick all these years.
“Liars”!
