NSCN/GPRN Press Release 21st September 2018

GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF NAGALIM
Ministry of Information and Publicity

PRESS RELEASE
Hebron, the 21st September, 2018

The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim conveys to all that it acknowledged the recent memorandum “Protection of Indigenous Peoples’ Rights vis-à-vis the Ongoing Indo-Naga Peace Talks” submitted to the United Nations General Assembly by the Liberation, a non-governmental organization on the 3rd September, 2018 on their own volition (initiative) which urged both the United Nations and the Government of India to expedite the Indo-Naga Peace Talk, and the subsequent reporting of the news in a couple of newspapers, though the statement on it cannot be attributed to the GPRN.

The GPRN is pleased to welcome such initiative taken by some well wishers of the Nagas that raised our issue at the international level. The achievement of the Nagas so far during its struggle for self determination which is a mass movement was never the sole achievement of the NSCN alone, but the collective achievement due to the cohesive response of all the Nagas. All credits consequent to such a bold step taken by the Liberation and others involved in pushing the endeavor of the Nagas forward shall go down well in the annals of our history.

The NSCN delegates also attended the UNPO meeting and praised the Almighty God for the overwhelming support received from the well wishers of the international community.
