Kohima: The Naga Hoho, Naga Mother’s Association, Naga Student Federation and the Naga Peoples’ Movement for Human Rights held a meeting today at Kohima, 3rd May 2010 unanimously resolved to ensure the safe transit of the Ato Kilonser Mr. Th. Muivah, Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim to his native village in Ukhrul.
To that end, a committee has been formed with the following members, 1.) Mr. P. Chuba Ozukum, General Secretary Naga Hoho as Covener, 2.) Mr. M. Yhobu, President Naga Student Federation as Co-convener, 3.) Ms. Neikesanuo Sorhie, NPMHR as Member Secretary and all the officials of the above cited civil society as members. The committee will take charge of escorting the Ato Kilonser, mobilize the public and take any befitting action as directed by the house in case the Government of India or Government of Manipur attempts to obstruct his visit to his home village.
The Naga Hoho and the civil societies also request the Naga people to rise against this balatant afford to its culture and ethos. The committee therefore requests the cooperation and support of all section of Naga people as well as the Nagaland State Government and all the peace loving citizen of the country towards bringing peace in our region.
