PRESS RELEASE
Oking, the 19th July, 2023
The exigency nerved the Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) of NSCN/GPRN to have a look at the Naga political issue and organized a “Consultative Meeting of Parliamentarians” (Kilonsers, Deputy Kilonsers and Tatars) of NSCN/GPRN under the theme “Unity in Diversity” on the 19th July, 2023 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.
The keynote address was given by Maj. Retd. Kewe Mero, Kilo Kilonser, GPRN and short speech by Capt. Retd. Samson Jajo, Kilonser, MIP.
Speeches were delivered by Rev. A. Puni, Member, Collective Leadership, NSCN and Mr. Angnaikham Makunga, Member, Collective Leadership, NSCN. And a vote of thanks was given by Mr. Zhehoto Awomi, Chaplee Kilonser, GPRN.
There was a meaningful understanding of the situation as the NSCN leaders stressed that NSCN members, particularly those falling under the ENPO must stay the course and work hard with more vigour and courage to meet the political aspirations for which NSCN was founded.
Finally, as the way forward for an honourable Naga political solution, a resolution was adopted “to stand upright and united to keep on supporting the historic Framework Agreement of the 3rd August, 2015”.
