NEW LONGVIBU TAKES CHARGE

Naga Army today bids farewell to one of its most revered generals of all time, General Ningkhan Shimray-MC, VC who has shouldered the responsibility of the Commander-in-Chief, also known by the title Longvibu for the past 8 years.
He was accorded a grand military guard of honor as he walked past the red carpet upon his retirement from military service after 45 years in the army.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Honreishang Shadang, MSM, MC, succeeds as the new Longvibu of Naga Army. The solemn ceremony of handing and taking charge was presided over by the Honorable Keya Kilonser, Ino Zeneituo James Pienyu, in the presence of dignitaries and army officers at GHQ Church. Pastor Dijinbou invoked God’s blessings and pronounced the prayer of submission for both the outgoing and the incoming Longvibu.
