Press Statement, 1 June 2019 (Tax Relaxation to Nagas)

    PRESS RELEASE

After taking due consideration of the interest of Naga entrepreneurs, the hon’ble Kilo Kilonser of GPRN is pleased to issue the following Orders;

1. The current one (1) year tax holiday accorded to Naga entrepreneurs at the initial year of establishment is extended to two (2) years with immediate effect.
2. However, if anyone is found leasing the name of their business to non-Nagas, the trade license shall be cancelled with immediate effect.
3. Agriculture products within Local shall be tax free except for those exporting outside for commercial purpose.
4. No Ministry/Department/Agency of GPRN shall utilize the services of non-Nagas in collection of tax. Defaulters shall be made strictly accountable.
