SPEECH OF HIS EXCELLENCY, GEN.(RETD) KHOLI, THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF NAGALIM
At the Tatar Hoho Budget Session on 23rd March 2018, Central Headquarters, Hebron
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Respected Mr. Speaker and the honorable Members of the august House, I, on behalf of the Collective Leadership and on my own behalf extend warm greetings to all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the opening session of the Tatar Hoho Budget Session 2018-2019.
At the very outset I pay homage to the martyrs of the Nation. May the merciful God grant them eternal bliss to their souls! I also congratulate the new members of the Tatar Hoho.
Honorable members, the Government requires financial stability for optimum functioning, for which appropriate budget is essential. Today, we are gathered here for this purpose. To have Financial Stability we ought to learn the Art of spending less/ smart money management without compromising the needful.
Therefore, honorable Members of the House, in view of the scarce resources, appropriate policies and strategies should be made so that maximum work is accomplished with minimum spending. Financial instability should not be allowed to cause the downfall of the Nation.
It is a fact that the government has been reeling under acute financial constraints. However, because of the patience and the forbearance displayed by the members, the government has been sustained thus far, which is appreciated.
Esteemed members of the House, I am thankful to the people for their generous contribution that has sustained us all along our National struggle, and I urge the government to see to it that the contribution is judiciously utilized.
I would also urge esteemed members especially the Revenue Ministerial personnel from Kilonsers down to Office Assistants to be diplomatic, honest, respectful and understanding while dealing with the Naga people.
Honorable members of the house, the political scenarios in and around our land cannot be overlooked, but properly managed to our advantage. We need to be extra vigilant of our surroundings at all times. There are forces ganging up against us. We are not only fighting in flesh but in Spirit as well. Nagalim is for Christ and we are fighting for Christ. Therefore, let us continue to ask God for His divine Providence to overcome evil forces and trials.
By the grace of the Almighty our political negotiators led by the Honorable Ato Kilonser have done their best, standing their ground on Naga history and right, all these years; however solution is yet to come, for reasons best known only to God. I strongly believe that if God intervenes in a special manner, solution will come soon, for which we should give our all-out commitment that pleases Him.
Countrymen, we are given the finest opportunity to solve our political problem and we must work more unitedly keeping in mind our respective duties and responsibilities. We cannot afford leave a legacy of failure in our time; the younger generation will not forgive our mistakes.
Therefore, I pray that the Almighty God bless the August House with divine wisdom and knowledge to take right and appropriate decisions so that the Nation is saved from possible dangers and difficulties within and outside.
With this message, I wish Tatar Hoho Budget Session a grand success!
