PRAYER APPEAL FOR NAGA POLITICAL PRISONERS

This is to inform to all the nation loving citizens of Nagalim that the COUNCIL OF NAGALIM CHURCHES, in its Executive and Staff Meeting held on 13th March, has decided that a Special Prayer Moment for the Political Prisoners of Naga Freedom Movement shall be taken up during Sunday Worship Service on the 24th March 2019. It is learned that many national workers and innocent civilians have been languishing in prisons for years. Some are in a very pathetic and miserable condition. Unfortunately, many had been found missing without reaching to judicial custody. Many family members are in agony in thought of their loved ones who had been missing since then. There is no hope of seeing them again. Some are sorrowing because their loved ones are in the prisons of foreign lands. There has been no opportunity to interview them. In such time of helplessness and miseries we are to turn to God as per the teaching of the Bible – “Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.” (Heb 13:3 NIV).

Therefore, it is to earnestly appeal to all the Church leaders/pastors/Prayer Centers to kindly uphold the prisoners of Naga Freedom Movement by inserting a special moment in the midst of  24th Sunday Worship Service Program. All the NNPGs are humbly requested to do so in their respective camps. Because some of your party members, our own brothers and sisters, are also in jails. We must share their pains.

As for the NSCN, Regional CAOs, Commanders and Chaplains are requested to take the responsibility of organizing the Prayer Service for the prisoners in their respective headquarters/camps. Today is their turn to suffer in prisons. Who knows, tomorrow may be yours/ours. Being human and fellow Christians, we aught to pray for one another. It is therefore, commendable that all the NSCN members/cadres attend the prayer service in their respective camps/Churches. In the case of members living in and around Dimapur and Peren Districts, you are requested to turn up to CHQ Church, Hebron, for this Special Prayer Moment. We hope, God will set free the prisoners sooner than late in answer of our prayers.

God Bless the Naga People.
