Oking, the 17th August, 2023

A Consultative Meeting of NSCN/GPRN Parliamentarians comprising Steering Executive Members, Steering Committee Members, Kilonsers, Deputy Kilonsers and Tatars of Ao Region, Lotha Region and Naga Rengma Hills (CAA) was held today, the 17th August, 2023 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.

The highlight of the meeting was focused on the political concept of Naga political movement under the banner of National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) with “Nagalim for Christ” as the slogan. It was under this slogan that helped motivate the NSCN members, maintain unity and cooperation throughout. The spirit of self-sacrifice of the Nagas and the un-daunting fighting spirit of NSCN find meaning from this slogan.

It was under this “never give up spirit” that NSCN asserted its stand boldly during the Indo-Naga political talks beginning from 1997, and ultimately comes to fruition when the historic Framework Agreement was signed on the 3rd August, 2015. The members proudly exhibited their commitment to stand by the hard earned achievement that will define the indelible sovereign identity of the Naga people and Naga Nation.

The meeting also takes note of the on-going ethnic conflict between the Meiteis and Kuki-Zo in Manipur and to remain extra vigilant to protect our land and political identity.
